Adding eBooks and MP3 audio books to the Nook from OverDrive
Instructions for Windows

Instructions work with all Nook models, including Nook Color & Tablet.
Adding ePUB and PDF files
In order to add eBooks to the Nook, you'll need to download Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). This software is available for free from the Adobe website (clicking the link will open a new window).
If you haven't already, you will need to create an Adobe ID in order to authorize your computer. Follow the instructions on the window that pops up when you open Aobe Digital Editions after installation. You will only have to do this once per computer.
Note: If you do not create an Adobe ID, your eBook will be locked to your computer and you will be unable to transfer it to your Nook.

Once you have authorized your computer, plug the Nook into your PC or laptop using the packaged USB cable. Once connected, ADE should recognize your device and prompt you to authorize your Nook. If the program does not recognize your device, close the program and start it up again.

Once your Nook has been authorized, you're all set! Choose "Library View" within ADE and click and drag the eBook to your Nook device listed under "Bookshelves." Disconnect your Nook from the computer and you're done!
Nook Color users: You can find your downloaded books in the Digital Editions folder located within My Files.

Adding .WMA Audio files
The Nook cannot play .WMA files
Adding .MP3 files
The process of adding MP3 audio books to your Nook is similar to transferring them to an MP3 player. Note: You must have OverDrive Media Console installed on your computer, which can be downloaded from the OverDrive website (clicking link will open a new window).
After downloading the audio book file from OverDrive, the OverDrive Media Console will guide you through the process.

In order to transfer the audio book to your Nook, you will first need to download at least one part of the book. OverDrive will, by default, select all parts of the book for you. You can track the progress of your download by looking at the bottom of the OverDrive Media Console window.

Connect your Nook to your computer. Once the download has been completed, click the TRANSFER button on the upper section of the OverDrive program window (it is found next to the PLAY button). OverDrive will detect your device, so all you have to do is hit the "Next" button until OverDrive initiates the transfer.

Once it's complete, disconnect your Nook from the computer and you're all set!
