Smoke detectors are required in bedrooms (any room that is used for sleeping), hallways leading to bedrooms and on each floor near stairways. A pool or spa enclosure is required for any swimming pool, hot tub, or other man-made outdoor bodies of water with a depth in excess of eighteen inches. Certain exceptions apply and approved alternate methods may be utilized to prevent accidental drowning. If further information is required, please contact the Building Department at 644-3275.
