In accordance with California Vehicle Code 22651, any vehicle with 5 or more unpaid citations can be towed and impounded at the sole cost and expense of the owner. A vehicle cannot be released from impound until all outstanding citations and related towing costs are paid. A vehicle that has been impounded will require cash and/or credit card for payment. Checks are not accepted. If your car has been towed and you require additional information, contact the Parking Collections Office at 644-3141. Be sure to have your vehicle license plate number available when you call.
