A translation of Yukiko Furata’s experiences as an Issei, or first generation Japanese immigrant, who migrated to Orange County in the early 1900’s.The Japanese American Council (JAC) sponsored oral interviews with longtime Japanese Americans of the community as an effort to promote an understanding and appreciation of Japanese American culture and heritage and the contribution of Japanese Americans to the history and development of Orange County.    (c1986)
