RALPH SIMMONDS’ PHOTOS OF MYANMAR ON DISPLAY
Newport Beach, CA (June 8, 2009) – A photographic exhibition by local artist Ralph Simmonds will be on display at Newport Beach City Hall, 3300 Newport Boulevard, throughout the months of June, July and August.
The exhibit is a collection of photographs from Simmonds travels to Myanmar capturing scenes from daily life in Bagan Bagan and beyond. Simmonds, who began taking scenic photographs of his travels more than twenty years ago, has discovered his passion for “taking photographs of people and trying to capture the soul of the subject.” Among the photographs displayed are images such as “Two Monks Strolling over U Bein’s Bridge at Sunset,” “Daily Life, a Man and his Oxen,” and “A Little Girl and Her Sister.”
Simmonds resides in Corona del Mar with his family. He is the President and Founder of Simmonds Realty Group, Inc.
