Early Talker (0-2 years)

The first in a three-part series, this
segment focuses on the six critical
pre-reading skills that children must
learn in order to read, and how parents
can make an impact on their child's future
reading success.

Tuesday, January 23
Talker (2-3 years)

Find out about the latest research showing
a relationship between shared reading
experiences, language development and
reading achievement. Learn how to use
Diologic Reading when reading picture
books and how to make book sharing a
enjoyable experience for both
parent and child.

Tuesday, February 13
Pre Reader (4-5 years)

Class Full
Registration starts January 13
Children who are proficient readers
are usually the most successful learners.
This workshop will focus on ways parents and caregivers can help develop
pre-reading skills in their children. Learn
how to play Say it Slow, Say it Fast and
other games to help four and five year
olds become better at hearing the
sounds that make up words
(phonological awareness).
