Arts Commission Hosts Exclusive Docent-Led Tour of LACMA's "Renoir in the 20th Century" 
Early Bird Registration Deadline: February 8

Renoir's The ConcertJoin your art-loving friends for a tour of this special exhibition, "Renoir in the 20th Century" at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Participants will also have the opportunity to view the acclaimed "American Stories: Paintings of Everyday Life 1765-1915," featuring major artists such as Thomas Eakins and Winslow Homer, John Singleton Copley, George Caleb Bingham, John Singer Sargent and Mary Cassatt.

Space is limited, so visit the Cultural Arts website, print out registration form and mail it with payment to the Arts Foundation, P.O. Box 1883, Newport Beach, CA 92659.

Karen Rae Kraut Flea Circus

Perfoming artist Karen Rae Kraut combines high-energy comedic talent with entertaining storytelling and singing in a one-woman variety show for all ages.
 
Funds for this event have been generously provided by the Friends of the Newport Beach Public Library.  Seating is on a first-come first-served basis, limited by room capacity.

Chef Zov KaramardianLearn from the best! Chef Zov Karamardian from Zov's Bistro and Zov's Cafe, Bakery and Bar will demonstrate some of her cooking techniques along with tastings of her delicious Mediterranean food.
 
This program is already sold out, but NBPL will be hosting a different culinary event each month through June, so don't miss out!

Distinguished Speaker Lecture Series
David Sanger, Chief Washington Correspondent for The New York Times

Friday, February 19,7 pm and Saturday, February 20, 2 pm 

David SangerThe 2010 DSLS kicks off with David Sanger, Chief Washington Correspondent for The New York Times.  In a 25-year career at the paper, he has covered a variety of issues surrounding foreign policy, globalization, nuclear proliferation, Asian affairs and, since 2001, the arc of the Bush presidency. Twice he has been a member of The Times reporting teams that won the Pulitzer Prize.

In January of 2009, Sanger released the New York Times bestseller, The Inheritance: The World Obama Confronts and the Challenges to American Power. It is an examination of the Bush administration's legacy, its successes and failures, and the complex challenges facing President Obama.

Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra

The whole family will be inspired listening to this ensemble of talented young musicians from the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra.  It's a great way to introduce young children (4 and up) to classical music.
