The City of Newport Beach Police Department’s Animal Control Unit has the responsibility for picking up injured, deceased, stray or wild animals within the city limits. An exception to this would be injured or deceased family pets which is the owner’s responsibility.

For injured or deceased family pets, please contact your veterinarian for assistance. A reminder, the Newport Beach Municipal Code prohibits setting any deceased animal out for collection with any refuse.
