Police records and reports maintained by the Newport Beach Police Department may be accessible to the public by law and can be obtained through the Records Division. Criminal reports, traffic accident reports, missing person reports and police records can all be acquired by stopping by in person at Department or by making a request through the mail.

Please be aware that not all reports or records are available for immediate release. In order to request a Record, you must present a picture ID, such as a valid driver's license, military ID, or passport, and complete a request for information form. A nominal processing fee is required for each request. If available for release, a copy of the report or record you requested will be released to you at the time of request if made in person, or available through will call.
